Restoration Service
ICON registered fine art restorer and paper conservation specialist, offering expert advice and valuations for insurance or personal purposes.
We have our own efficient, well-run, purpose-built conservation studio with a client base of many UK trade and private collectors, insurance companies, as well as numerous corporate and international clients. We offer a comprehensive consultancy and advice service to all of our clients, and provide written estimates for any restoration required.
Our restoration artist has 25 years experience and all cleaning and restoration work is of the highest quality, using minimal intervention and following the ethical restoration standards in reversibility.
Our studio offers cleaning and repairing on all works on paper including pastels, charcoal and the modern medium of limited edition prints. The cleaning and repairing of oil paintings and acrylic paintings either on canvas, panel or board, from the 18th Century to the present day. This includes the repair of tears, holes, cracking and scratches. We are able to repair frames and offer a comprehensive service for artwork damaged by fire, water or criminal damage.
You are welcome to send photographs of damaged pictures for advice on the work that is required. We will provide advice, but unfortunately no valuations can be given by email. The painting has to be seen in order to assess the work required, and we will be happy to provide a written quotation. Please contact us to arrange an appointment. Our restoration artist's travel costs will need to be met by you if you are unable to deliver the item to us.
